Types of Therapy

Therapy can be a positive outlet to work on something personal within yourself, issues within your family or relationship, or to build connections while relating to a group of people.

I offer individual, family/couples, and group therapy to adolescents, young adults, and adults based on what each person is going through in order to meet their needs.

Individual therapy

Through individual sessions, we will meet one-on-one to discuss any issues that are coming up for you. These sessions can be done in the traditional setting of my office, or through walks around the neighborhood in the fresh air. The goal is for you to feel comfortable enough to talk about all different topics- ones that are easy to discuss, and some that are the most difficult.

Anxiety. Depression. Self-Esteem Issues. Trauma. Self-Injurious Behaviors. Stress. Relationship Issues. Family Discord. Grief/Loss. Life Transitions. Body Image/Eating Disorders. Borderline Personality Disorder

Family/couples therapy

One of the hardest things to do in relationships and/or within your family, is establishing effective communication between one another and talking about issues. In these sessions we will talk about any arising or long-lasting topics that may need to be worked though, all while learning positive communication styles and gaining a better understanding of one another.

 

Group therapy

Group therapy is a positive outlet for people to recognize that they are not alone in whatever they may be struggling or trying to deal with, and to be able to connect and relate to others. Knowing that you have people that just "get it" can provide comfort and ease when trying to work through all of the different situations and emotions that life presents.
